SDV Welcomes a Belarusian Food Producers Delegation

December 2018:  SDV Consulting Engineers in cooperation with the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) and Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) organized and welcomed a Belarusian delegation of 24 persons between 8-15 December, representing major meat processing plants, slaughter-houses, dairy producers and state food authorities. The delegation included the management of the Belarusian State Institute of Metrology, Belarusian State Center of Accreditation, Molochny Mir OJSC, JV Bigan, BelHalal LLC, Mogilev Ice Cream factory, Mikavita OJSC, Vitebsk Meat-Packing Plant OJSC, Belovezhski Meat-Plant OJSC, Brest Meat-Packing Plant OJSC, Himmedsintez LLC, Oshmyany Meat Processing Plant and Tochno Vovremya LLC.

The Delegation visited ESMA headquarters in Dubai where they had a round table with the specialists to discuss the procedures of receiving the needed certificates to start trading with the UAE.

Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority organized a visit to SIAL exhibition where they had a very informative presentation on the food safety requirements of the UAE and on the legal base of the GCC countries overall. ADFCA also organized a visit to Al Ain dairy farms for the delegates to have a closer look at the technologies used in the UAE and to exchange experience. The delegation also had the chance to visit Al Ain poultry farm in order to see the Halal slaughtering procedure.

This delegation important visit is part of SDV initiatives in assisting the Belarusian meat and dairy producers in meeting the UAE import requirements such as the Halal certification.

SDV is grateful to the UAE authorities for their outstanding participation and information provided to the delegation as well as for facilitating the delegation visits to important meat and dairy operations.
